Jeepers Creepers Fingerless Mitts - Charts

These gloves were inspired by my friend's daughter's love of Minecraft. I knit these wristers with a Fair Isle technique. The tubular cast-on and cast-off were a learning exercise, but I really like the stretchiness and polished look they provide.  I used Madelintosh's Tosh Merino Light in "dirty panther" and "leaf."  Gauge using size 0 DPNs was 10 sts/in and 10 rows/in in the Fair Isle pattern.

The top circumference was 8 in, and the length was 7 in.  If you need to make a smaller size, I'd try removing some of the black stitches on the side, between the front and back.  There should be plenty of wiggle room there.

I CO 60 stitches in green using the tubular cast-on, and did double knitting for four rounds, resulting in two rows of green border at the bottom.  The wrist is K1P1 ribbing in black for 2 1/2 inches.  Then I increased the stitches to 80 and started working the charts, replacing the red stitches with the thumb chart.  After finishing the charts, I did 2 rows of K1P1 in black, then four rounds of double knitting in green, and a tubular cast-off in green.

For the thumb, I picked up and knitted stitches in black for three rounds.  Then I K1P1 in black for two rounds, and then the same four rounds of double knitting in green, and a tubular cast-off in green.

There are three charts: the left hand, the right hand, and the thumb.
